Here I am trying to convince clients how QR Codes, this new means of marketing and advertising is the way forward; and along comes Blippar. Blippar seems to be the next big thing when it comes using mobile augmented reality for interactive marketing and advertising.
How it works – As the Blippar people put it: “The Blippar™ platform uses the latest image recognition technology to make the advert itself the trigger for the virtual content. What the content consists of… is totally brand dependent.” …which is kind of like a QR Code, but not exactly.
This technology really does take pull advertising to the next level and will serve greatly for creative multichannel marketing campaigns. Let’s see if Blippar will be the QR Code killer after all. The best way to understand how it works and its possibilities is by checking out the video below:
